Oil based Powder dyes CP & HP:
These D&C dyes are the same as the dyes that we have already mixed with oil but they come to you in powder form. Each oil dye comes packaged in a 1/2 oz bottle, you can mix them your self in oil or you can use the enclosed .15 cc spoon and mix it in with your oil as its melting. You can also mix the powder with any oil in a smaller container and use this to make a swirl. If you decide to use the powder just for a swirl you will need much less then .15 cc. Below is pictures of the dyes that were used at the rate of .15cc per 66 ounces of oils and water. The amount of dye will depend on the depth of color you desire, these dyes will NOT stain your wash clothes but they will stain your clothing and counters so be prepared and use paper towels and wear old clothes.
Below is pictures of the actual amount of dye used in a base of 48 ounces of oils and 18 ounce of water, the end result is a rose colored with the red (hollyberry) and an orange melon colored with the orange (cantaloupe). I will be retesting the yellow shortly and will post the pictures. If you want a deeper color use a bit more, the true color will come out after the gel stage. Using the above rate you will be able to color at least 50-100 pounds per bottle of course if you prefer the color deeper then the amount will change. Not for bath salts or fizzies colorants they will leave a ring around your tub, for fizzies and salts only use water based dyes. All dyes may be mixed to change the colors they mix well if your searching for a specific color.
Label all soaps with the following labels, D&C Red #17, D&C Yellow #11, D&C Orange #4.

Based Dyes: FD&C .5 oz Red # 40
FD&C .5 oz Yellow #5
Oil Based Dyes These do work
exceptionally well on
cold process and hot processed soap. The base is sunflower and canola
oil. They do stand up to active lye. View our soaps to see how well
these dyes work., **not recommended for cp soaps with a large percentage
of olive oil. Olive oil will interfere with the actual color**. All FD&C approved 1 ounce bottles
available in 5 colors: Red,Blue , Green & Purple Recommended for Cold Process
and Hot Process Soap Making. They are very strong. Shake well before using.
We recommend using just drops per pound.
I have achieved a very nice pink
with 3 drops of red dye in 3 pounds of cp. base. They will do alot of color changing
during gel stage, do not be alarmed. After the gel
stage your true color will show. Not for use in bath oils
or bath products
these will leave a colored ring in your tub.

Titanium Dioxide (water disperse):
White powder used to lighten or make whiter
bath products. Water soluble making this perfect for soap, lotions and any other
item that uses water. If using in cp soap making add to your lye water.
Titanium Dioxide 2 oz $2.05
Titanium Dioxide 4 oz $3.10
Titanium Dioxide 8 oz $5.05
These do work in all applications, we have tested these dyes in cp soaps, bath
salts, fizzies, lotions, mold and pour. These are extremely strong, available in
powder form.
In cp soap add a tiny bit to your lye water before combining with your oils.
In bath fizzies, salts or any other products, you do have the option of either
mixing with water and storing in a spritz bottle. Spritz your product until you
reach the desired shade. Or adding a tiny bit to your product and spritzing with
witch hazel. Your color will appear as your spritzing.
These will not leave a bath tub ring. We are testing a few more colors and they
will be added as soon as we are happy with their results. Below are some of the
results of our testing.
